서울시립대학교 2025년도 봄 대동제 'SUNBURST'에서 스텐실 기법을 활용한 그래픽 티셔츠를 제작·판매하는 부스를 운영했다. 거리에서 산책 중인 강아지를 보고 쓰다듬고 싶지만 선뜻 말을 건네지 못하는 사람들을 위해 대신 마음을 표현하고, 이에 대한 반응을 이끌어내는 티셔츠를 기획했다. 또한 I♥︎NY 티셔츠에서 착안해 I♥︎ME라는 문구를 적용함으로써 자신을 긍정하고 사랑하는 메시지를 담았다.
Designed, produced, and sold graphic T-shirts using the stencil printing technique at “SUNBURST,” the 2025 Spring Festival of the University of Seoul. The project was conceived as a playful communication tool for people who would like to pet dogs they encounter on walks but feel hesitant to approach their owners. The graphic expresses this sentiment on their behalf and invites interaction. Inspired by the iconic I♥︎NY T-shirt, the design reinterprets the slogan as I♥︎ME, delivering a message of self-love and positive self-expression.

검은콩 리서치에서 시작한 작업으로 콩에서 “작은 점의 성장과 풍성한 미래” 라는 특징을 추출해 하나의 축을 만들고 그 축을 기준으로 이어져가는 오브제를
제작했다. 축을 놓고 이어가는 행위 시스템으로, 이 오브제는 재료, 크기에 제한이 없어 의도에 따라 러그, 티코스터 등 용도가 바뀔 수 있다.
System
1.실의 종류는 상관하지 않는다. 자라나고 이어지게 하려는 것은 무엇이든 좋다.
2.실(예를 들어)의 가장 끝부분을 잡고 동그랗게 말아 붙인다.
3.동그랗게 말아 붙인 가장자리를 중심으로 원형의 형태로 이어 붙인다.
4.끝은 정해져 있지 않으며 원하는 만큼 더하고 줄일 수 있다.
This project began with research on black soybeans. From the soybean, I extracted the idea of “the growth of a small seed into an abundant future” and translated it into a modular object-making system centered on a single axis. The object is created through a process of continuously extending and connecting forms around this axis. Because there are no restrictions on material or scale, the outcome can be adapted for various purposes, such as a rug, coaster, or other textile product, depending on the maker’s intention.
System
- Any type of yarn or thread can be used. Anything that can grow, connect, and expand is suitable.
- Take the end of the material and roll it into a small circle.
- Continue attaching and extending the material around the edge of the circle, building a larger circular form.
- There is no fixed endpoint; the form can be expanded or reduced as desired.

사각형의 경계짓는 특성
The boundary-forming property of the rectangle
“경계짓는 사각형”의 연작으로 공간에 위치한 사물들의 경계를 테이핑 한 후, 아카이빙 했다.
Part of the “Boundary-Defining Rectangle” series, this project involved marking the boundaries of objects in a space with tape and archiving the results.
나눈 공간, 텍스트로 채우는 사각형의 세가지 포스터를 제작 후, 경계를 나누고 채우는 사각형의 특성으로 최종 포스터 “경계짓는 사각형”을 완성했다.
Researching the rectangle as a visual and spatial element, I extracted three defining characteristics: typography, geometry, and boundary. These characteristics became the basis for a series of poster experiments. Among them, the concept of the rectangle as a boundary-defining device was developed through three posters depicting alleyway houses, grid-divided spaces, and text-filled rectangles. By examining the rectangle’s capacity to divide, contain, and organize space, I created the final poster, Boundary-Defining Rectangle.

‘사랑과 안녕' 이라는 주제의 엽서. 대학 시절 친구로 만나 여전히 곁을 함께하는 진과 경의 안녕을 바라는 작업이다.
A postcard created under the theme of “Love and Peace”
The work is dedicated to Jin and Kyung, who met as friends during university and remain together to this day. It expresses my affection for them and my wish for their continued happiness and well-being.

여행중 만난 두개의 문장. 글에서 연상한 이미지들을 모아 디자인한 두 장의 포스터 작업이다.
A series of two posters inspired by passages encountered during a journey. Drawing from the imagery evoked by the texts, the project translates themes of self-consolation, travel, and the sea into visual compositions.

어느 날 둘러본 세상에는 사랑과 혐오가 가득 차 있었고, 나 또한 이 양극의 감정 속에서 소용돌이 쳤다. 혐오를 혐오하고, 사랑을 사랑하다 문득 자신 또한 이 혼란함의 부산물임을 깨닫고 그저 묵묵히 관찰해 보기로 한다. 수집한 이미지들을 모아 분류, 가공 후에 오버랩핑한 포스터 작업이다.
Surrounded by expressions of love and hate, I found myself entangled in the tension between these opposing emotions. Realizing that I was also a part of this contradiction, I chose to observe rather than judge. This poster was created by collecting, categorizing, manipulating, and overlapping images to explore the coexistence of love, hate, and the ambiguity between them.
